And you're not into glam,
Keep it something simple,

  1. I love them all! Especially the one with the top hat-cute and different. xo Diana

  2. So MANY wonderful hearts!! I am loving that sandwich and all the different heart goodies :)

  3. So many great ideas! I love the top hat and the cookie on the cup!

  4. I'll skip the ham :-) I'm into the glam! Love all the hearts.

  5. Adorable! Love the the tables, the treats and the words :)

  6. You are such a poetic soul -- and a damn fine chef and tablescaper too! I always get hungry when I visit.

You asked about those napkin rings -- yes, I did make them. They were my gift to my favorite cousin who is now 91, but I made them a couple of years ago. I bought some hot pink ribbon to make some for myself, but I haven't found the right "rings" to go inside those yet. She has a red and white kitchen with lots of polka dots and red countertops, and she keeps them in one of her milk glass pieces on her kitchen table like a centerpiece.

  7. Everything looks great K! I'd love a big ole slice of that cin/raisin bread! And the "on the cup" cookie cutters are too cute:@)

  8. Ahh..I just made angel wing cookies that sit like that..but your hearts sit perfectly..Gotta love W_S..I know u do!

I bought fish bread you showed us..found it in the states..the boys wouldn't eta it..they probably thought it tasted like fish~:)
    Happy heart day K.

  9. I want a piece of that cinnamon raisin bread! Toasted and with a smathering of butter, please.... LOL
Luv all of your table/place setting, Kathleen. I really like your napkins with the red lips, but the simple place setting with the white heart plate and bowl is my fav! Ahhh- the love day....

  10. Love all the hearts, food and non-food alike! Can hardly wait for dear to come home so we can go out to eat after visiting here.

  11. Such a cute post! You are so creative. If I lived at your house, I'd weigh 500 pounds. Everything you makes always looks so delicious.

  12. I'd start my way in your cozy kitchen
Where we would be sipping tea and dishin
Then I would be rolled in the dining room
    Where my hand would zoom
    grabbing cookies, muffins and bread
    Til my head went BOOM!!

I love every setting, could not choose just one! xo

  13. I like them all...from the glam to the ham. And again, I love your "storytelling." :) I've never been one to like heart dishes much, until my life in blogging started, and now I {heart} heart dishes :) I especially love your filigree ones! I bet Valentine's Day is a fun one at your house, but I'll wish you a happy one anyway.

  14. Love all the glam! But I am more of a ham :)

  15. What a fun post! I love all the hearts and great looking food! hugs, Linda

  16. Kathleen, did you get the heart-on-a-cup cutter a long time ago? I went on line to find it, but it's not there.

    Love all the dots.

  17. Visiting you always leaves a great big smile on my face. Thanks for all the inspiration! Cherry Kay

  18. Such a sweet table.
    Love the polka dots!!

    Have a great weekend :)

  19. Kathleen you have outdone yourself with these Valentines Day tablescapes. I am having a hard time choosing which one I like best, hmm! I will take all of them. ~smile! And the treats look so delicious. Thanks for always inspiring me. You are very talented and gifted.
    Enjoy your weekend.

  20. Hi Kathleen,

I'm with Cherry Kay -- visiting you always makes me smile. :)

Your food looks wonderful, as usual. But I especially love your heart-shaped filigree plates. Do you mind if I ask where you got them? They're beautiful!

Hope you have a great weekend.

  21. I'm loving all your little hearts and now I'm inspired to make something special for hubby. Something with hearts...and a peach cobbler which he loves. Maybe heart shapes on top? Thanks for the ideas.

  22. Kathleen, I just knew you'd have a little poem for the occasion. Fun to see all your heart felt foods. Makes me want to spend some time in the kitchen. ;-)
Love the little tea cup cookies. When I was in France this past fall I brought back some sugar cubes in various shapes that would hook onto the cup. I think the cookie idea is better. I'm going to have to get one of these cutters. ~ Sarah

  23. Hi Kathleen,

It's me again. Thanks for the visit! To answer your question, I definitely won't be getting rid of the baker's rack; it's one of my favorite pieces. And I was betting you'd gotten those plates at the Christmas Tree Store. They really are beautiful Valentine plates. I was in there last week, but most of the Valentines stuff was gone.

What do you mean by a "no reply addy"? I've seen that mentioned before, but I don't know what it is.

p.s. Did you just cut a slit in your ♥ cookies BEFORE you baked them??? That's not a special cookie cutter, is it???

  29. Beautiful!!! All that eye candy and real candy too! Great ideas and inspiration for Valentines! I need to get busy!
I love those polka dot plates and bowls in your header..I have some too and they are some of my favs!

  49. Each of your tables looks so inviting. The first and last tables are my favorite, As mentioned earlier, I love the idea of the cookie on the cup, so I'd love to know how you did that. Sounds like that would make a great post if the cutter wasn't made for that purpose.

Thanks for sharing all your pretty tables and for linking up to my party.

  50. Kathleen, I just had to come see for myself. I can't believe my comment didn't post! I hope my comments on other blogs posted. When I first saw this post, I had to scroll through twice - once to read your cute poem, and another time to look at your pretty tablescapes. This post added so much to my party, and I'm so sorry my comment didn't post. I also said I was going to have to go see "Bill" to see if there were any more of those adorable cookie cutters left. Thanks again for linking. Can't wait for the Blog Crawl! laurie

  51. How very fun! Your red transferware and "eyelet" plates are Judy beautiful!

  52. Beautiful table, Kathleen! I love your creamy heart shaped plates. I just bought a small cake pedestal today at Tuesday Morning that would probably go well with those dishes.
