Potatoes and Pudding & Blog Crawl Memo!
Almost as good as fried, but they are oven fried.
Russet potatoes make the best fries, waxy potatoes do not get the same result.
Peel or not, your choice. Slice your potatoes and soak in a pan of hot water for about 15 min.
Drain and wrap in a clean dish cloth. Then place on a paper towel and pat as dry as possible. Place them in a bowl and toss with oil of your choice.
Season them the way you like and place them on a baking sheet sprayed with Pam.
Preheat oven to 425 or 450, and bake till golden brown, flipping half way through.
Use a good pan, a thin cookie sheet might get bent out of shape! :)
This recipe is pretty much how I do it!
Serve them with a cheeseburger and I will be your best friend forever!
For dessert some Cinnamon Raisin Bread Pudding.
I am not a fan of bread pudding, but I had some homemade cinnamon raisin bread to use up.
Put some whipped cream on top, and dig in!
It helps if you serve it in a cute little Irish ramekin. :) From Christmas Tree Shop, of course!
I used half and half and threw a few chopped apples in also. Recipe here.
Those ramekins will reappear Tuesday in the "Who threw the overalls in Mrs . Murphy's Chowder ? " table for the 4th Annual St. Patrick's Blog Crawl and Blogaversary here on TUESDAY.
Post will be up by noon on the 13th!. TUESDAY
Prizes and more prizes, so I hope you will come celebrate with me!
What should you post?
Well, it has to be new, please don't rerun your post from last year.
A recipe, a table, vignette, as long as it has something to do with the color du jour, GREEN!
Looking forward to you joining in!
A special THANK YOU to all of you posted my party button Leprechaun in your side bar so others would know about the crawl. I do appreciate it!
Thanks for visiting, have a wonderful Sunday!
I am joining The Tablescaper for Seasonal Sunday.
